Quality of Electricity supply should be consumer protected
Faridabad makes its own power at an Old Thermal Power plant.It generated its own power as early as in 1970s.But if you happen to pass thru' it you would observe that it is begging & crying for help. The quality of inputs is worse with dirty/severage water & inferior quality of coal(lower grade at 50% Kcal levels).The resultant is frequent breakdown, accidents, poor maintenance & even incidents of fire.There are multiple reasons for all this, the major one is improper management.
Second issue is of frequent breakdowns in the city.The local industry is asked to make its own captive arrangements with informed cuts & the residential areas have been systematically taught to depend on Invertors.
Third issue is the most interesting.If you reside in Faridabad & have an Invertor installed at your house, you would observe that your fan speeds-up when its on Invertor supply as compared to the normal Electric supply. It clearly calls for a check in the input quality.
The electrical appliances demand continues to grows due to shorter life cycles- owing to voltage fluctuations,low voltage,frequent disruptions,etc.
I think that Consumers need to be protected under Consumer protection act for the quality of electricity that is being supplied in Faridabad.
Quoting honourable DC that "we should think positive about Faridabad",I agree with her but there should be some reason for it.
