Are u Diabetic & Obese together (2 Ways to Start Burning Fat Quickly )

1. Start Exercising first thing in the morning.

As soon as you wake up in the morning workout for at least 30min to an hour. Studies show that working out in the morning has been shown to burn up to 3x as more fat as opposed to working out at any other time during the day.

Here’s Why:

During the day your body’s main source of energy is the carbohydrates that you get from eating your meals. As you sleep at night for 6+ hours your body uses up all those carbohydrates as energy for various bodily functions that go on even while you sleep. When you wake up in the morning your body doesn’t have any carbohydrates as energy to use and it will look to burn body fat instead for energy.

For you to take advantage of this morning fat burning opportunity you have to exercise first thing in the morning. Don’t eat breakfast because if you do you’ll just give your body some carbohydrates as a source of energy instead of the body fat that you want to burn for energy.

Another great thing about working out first thing in the morning is that your metabolism gets revved up after your morning workout. Morning workouts keep your metabolism elevated throughout the day. An elevated metabolism throughout the day only means that you’ll burn more calories and lose more weight. If you workout at night you may still burn fat while you workout but as soon as you go to sleep your metabolism will slow down and you’ll miss out on all the extra fat that you can burn during the day if you had exercised in the morning. When you sleep your metabolic rate is always at its slowest.

Other reasons why its good to exercise first thing in the morning is that you get the workout out of the way, and working out in the morning will also reduce your level of stress throughout the day.

Advanced Tip: Want to burn even more fat? Add another workout to your daily routine 4-6 hours after your morning workout. Keep your already high metabolism higher by adding a 2nd workout during the day. If you're seriously thinking about adding a 2nd workout to your daily routine then try to do your cardio workouts in the morning.

Mostly fat calories are burned doing cardio at a moderate intensities. Make your 2nd workout of the day a workout with weights. Mostly carbohydrate is burned doing weight-training workouts. The muscle that you build from weight training will also help you burn fat. 1lb of Muscle burns 50 calories a day or 1lb of fat every 70 days. Not only will you be burning more calories, you’ll look better – whatever your weight is.

2. Eat Breakfast
Another way to keep your metabolism revved up all day long is to eat breakfast. After you workout in the morning as discussed earlier, just have breakfast and you’ll give your body the perfect 1-2 combination to jump start your metabolism.

Eating breakfast in the morning is what gets your metabolism started. Don’t skip breakfast and wait until mid-morning or afternoon to eat, your metabolism will run slower causing you not burn any extra fat.

Think about this way-Your metabolism is a fireplace that’ll burn fat all day long for you if you operate it correctly. When you eat breakfast you are basically throwing a log onto that fireplace to get it started burning fat.

Eating breakfast will help stop those cravings you may have later on in the day and along with working out in the morning, eating breakfast will also keep you energized throughout the day and lower stress levels.

Advanced Tip: Instead of eating only 2 more meals during the day like lunch & dinner, try to eat 4-5 more small mini-meals spaced 2-3 hours apart during the day. Remember the fireplace? By eating these mini-meals you'll be throwing just the right amount of "wood" on the fireplace to keep your metabolism burning calories throughout the day. Don't shut down your metabolism by eating big lunches or dinners, keep that metabolism of yours burning fat all day long.

Morning Checklist

Workout for at least 30min after waking up in the morning
Eat a healthy breakfast
Burn fat & lose more weight during the day
Use these 2 tips to reveal that six-pack, fit into that dress for an upcoming event like a wedding or reunion, or to impress that special someone. Whatever your fitness goal is these 2 tips above will surely help you reach them.

Housing projects worth Rs 68 crore for slum dwellers of Faridabad

Housing projects worth Rs 68 crore for slum dwellers
Bijendra Ahlawat
Tribune News Service

Faridabad, November 28
The ambitious project of city development plan for Faridabad, launched under the Jawaharlal National Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM), has finally been set rolling.

The Union Ministry of Urban Development today approved the first phase of the project to improve the basic services for the urban poor.

Under this development plan, two housing projects worth Rs 68.58 crore were sanctioned for slum dwellers.

The Municipal Corporation Faridabad (MCF) will undertake these projects. A sum of Rs 247 crore has been proposed to relocate the dwellers in slum clusters in a phased manner.

Project reports of various schemes, incorporated in the city development plan and costing Rs 2,679 crore, have been prepared and submitted for approval. The development plan includes repair and relaying of roads, sewerage system, drainage, water supply and solid waste management.

A meeting of the MCF authorities and the Ministry of Urban Development was held at Nirman Bhawan in New Delhi, this morning, in which the detailed project report (DPR) of basic services for the urban poor was accepted for Faridabad.

Under the scheme, the MCF would develop multi-storeyed residential units for slum dwellers at two spots in which a total of 2248 flats would be built.

According to Commissioner, MCF, who led the delegation at the meeting, more than 2,000 families residing in slum clusters would be relocated in the scheme in the first phase. The new residential colonies would be developed at Dabua Colony and Bapu Nagar on MCF plots.

He said while each two-room set unit would cost Rs 1.51 lakh, every colony would have the facility of a car park, a shopping centre and a primary school.

He said the detailed project report (DPR) of the third such colony was being prepared and it would cost about Rs 50 crore.

There are a total of 67 slum clusters out of which at least 29 would be relocated. This include relocation of 29,708 jhuggis in the city, he added.

It may be recalled that Faridabad is one of those leading cities in the country, where the growth of slum cluster has been relatively high.

The population of the city is over 15 lakh at present.

Govt to crack whip on pre-launch projects

Govt to crack whip on pre-launch projects
Directive against fly-by-night operators to be implemented in Haryana
Ravi S.Singh
Tribune News Service

Gurgaon, November 28
The government is understood to have decided to take strict action against ‘pre-launches’ of unauthorized colony projects, especially those falling in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The directive against the fly-by-night operators is said to have come from Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

According to a senior officer, the stern measure is on account of colonizers, developers and brokers colluding for the pre-launch of projects for which no license is procured.

According to the rules, private parties can set up colonies and apartments in areas other than HUDA sectors. This area is technically called ‘licensed’ area. The private parties need to procure a license from the Town and Country Planning department for the projects.

Gurgaon and other areas in the NCR zone fall in a ‘high potential zone’ and the value of land is on the higher side here. In the high potential zones, a colonisers/developer needs at least 100 acres to float a colony. Besides, they need to have some other approvals.

However, the colonizers/builders often go in for pre-launches with tempting promises and glossy brochures, inviting bookings for the purchase of flats and plots. There have been occasions when the pre-launches were done by the operators even without having the requisite land in their possession for the advertised projects.

Even when they had, they could not procure licenses. In the process, a gullible purchaser fell for the bait and lost his hard-earned money.

Recently, the government got a case registered against M/s N.Buildcom and its dealers for carving out an illegal colony in violation of the provisions of Punjab Scheduled Roads and Controlled Areas Act, 1963 and Urban

Areas Act, 1975 for allegedly carving out a colony illegally in the controlled area of Manesar in this district and booking the plots through some dealers. Seven well-known dealers were named in the complaint.

In another development, there was a complaint regarding the unauthorized colonization in proposed Sector 19, Dharuhera in Rewari district and in Sector 89, Faridabad by M/s Ferrous Infrastructure (P) Ltd which has its headquarters at Greater Kailash in the national Capital. So much so that the alleged firm had placed advertisements in a leading English daily wherein it publicized its upcoming projects in NCR which in fact were for Dharuhera and Faridabad. The advertisements were misleading as the firm was concealing the name of Dharuhera and Faridabad falling in Haryana.

Actually the name of Dharuhera and Faridabad was being avoided in the advertisements to circumvent the laws pertaining to Haryana and to preclude the state from taking timely action.

It is a known fact that prompt action by the government against such land deals is very important. Any delay allows the operators to make huge money. The public then finds it hard to recover their money from the operators.

In the case relating to the projects in Dharuhera and Faridabad, the firm along with its agents cheated the public out of more than Rs 500 crore.

For diabetics, special footwear in offing

For diabetics, special footwear in offing

Harvard to be roped in to design customized shoes

CHENNAI : The Diabetes Research Centre at the MV Hospital for Diabetes Research Centre plans to enter into collaborative research with the Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S. to design and develop improved footwear for diabetes patients who are at high risk for amputation.

The proposal is an offshoot of the interaction the two institutions have shared since 2003 to sensitize doctors and nurses on diabetic foot complications, its treatment and prevention. Around 900 medics/paramedics have benefited from the last two Indo-U.S. workshops while the third edition commences here on Friday. "But even as we explore newer footwear technologies it is important not to lose focus of the larger obligation of prevention through education among physicians and patients," said David Campbell, vascular surgeon and associate clinical professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Campbell, who played a role in sensitising doctors and patients in the U.S. about management of diabetic complications, is heading a team for the workshop.

He was also instrumental in establishing the Harvard Vietnam Medical Education Program in Ho Chi Minh city where diabetes-related amputation rates have dropped since the programme began in 2000.

According to Vijay Viswanathan, joint director, MV Hospital for Diabetes, awareness and affordability are important factors that determine the use of protective footwear among diabetes patients.

Though a simple running shoe is good enough for most diabetes patients, highly customized footwear is be required for patients who have already developed foot deformities.

The industry for orthotic devices, ranging from a custom-molded footpad to a heel insert, is not geared to the meet the special requirements of patients with diabetic feet. The proposed research project is expected to address this lacuna as well as make the products more affordable, said Dr. Viswanathan.

Diabetic foot amputations are largely preventable with awareness and proper care, but the rate of amputations is high in India, which has an estimated 30 million patients. One of the aims of the Indo-U.S. collaborative workshops on diabetic foot care is to encourage diabetologists to start diabetic foot clinics.

Experts from the U.S. are also looking to these interactive sessions to develop healthcare interventions that will help reduce amputations in developing countries.

Faridabad- Metro Rail would have better noise-pollution controls thru' Silencer

DMRC to silence Metro noise BY NEHA KOHLI

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2006 11:00:30 AM]

NEW DELHI: Delhi metro lines may soon be equipped with silencers. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is considering the use of noise barriers and silencers to combat noise pollution. The proposal is mooted by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) and the manufacturers of noise barriers, such as Anutone Acoustic.

A DMRC official has said the company is employing latest technologies to protect the environment. The task has been assigned to the National Physical Laboratory for suggesting measures to combat noise pollution, especially, in the view of the Commonwealth Games.

DMRC has initiated an experiment to prevent noise pollution at the Vidhan Sabha tunnel station. This involves using a chemical spray to harden the walls, making it more noise-absorbent . If successful, the work for wall hardening will continue for other underground stations as well.

DMRC is already using silent generators in some of its Phase-I projects and has incorporated the use of silent vibro hammers while construction. Also, the bottom of the rails are coated with rubber pads and the joints are welded, preventing skipping of wheels at joints, which create noise.

However, use of silencers having high noise-absorbing coefficients is currently absent in metro rails. Anutone Acoustic is in talks with DMRC for the use of noise barriers such as Madtrax and Nsstrax in rails.

CRRI claims it had formally suggested , in the recent environment impact assessment report (EIA), for a metro line that noise silencers should be used. The EIA report was prepared for DMRC for its Badarpur-Faridabad and Mundka-Bahadurgarh corridor.

With 70-75 % of metro lines being open in Delhi and other cities with metro rail systems, noise pollution created by it, in addition to road traffic, has become an issue. According to CRRI, the coinciding of road traffic and metro rails along with reflection of noise under the bridges creates noise that can be too fatal - high blood pressure being the most common consequence.

With escalating road traffic already imposing noise levels on the environment, such a 'rail-under-a-road' arrangement takes these levels even higher. While a metro rail line alone may not cause as much noise pollution, it contributes significantly to the same in this setup. For example , a road alone as a line source may produce 78 decibel (dB) noise, but in such a setup, the figure goes up to 81 dB.

Prolonged exposure to this level of noise in traffic could create noise exceeding acceptable levels, depending on the time and kind of traffic like trucks, light vehicles, etc.

A study by CRRI shows that with silencers spanning a metro rail line running over bridges, noise pollution can be reduced by 25 dB under the bridge where there is flow of road traffic. Hence, cutting noise levels by more than half.

Stem Cell Research-Which has better results? Adult or Embroyonic

While many scientists and the mainstream media are hyping embryonic stem cell research (ESCR), the fact of the matter is that embryonic stem cell research is entirely unproductive at this point. There are no human trials using ESCs, and no treatments/cures coming from ESCR. The same cannot be said of adult stem cell research (ASCR). There are hundreds of human trials, and approximately 75 treatments/cures.

In the past few weeks several new breakthroughs using ASCs have been announced:

1. Australian researchers used patients' own stem cells to treat heart failure.
2. Researchers at Tulane University in New Orleans injected human ASCs into mice suffering from Type II Diabetes. The ASCs increased their insulin production and even repaired their damaged pancreas. The next step is human trials.
3. Other researchers have turned umbilical cord stem cells into lung cells.
4. Nature published research involving adult dog stem cells used to treat the dog version of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a disease that affects human children. After a couple of treatments these severely disabled dogs were able to run faster and even jump. The researchers plan to use this technology to begin treating human children in the next year or two.
5. Swiss scientists have grown heart valves using stem cells from amniotic fluid. The hope is to be able to use these to repair damaged hearts in newborn babies.
6. University of London researchers restored vision in mice.

None of this progress can be credited to ESCR. Scientists who are making breakthroughs are using ASCs. Dr. Robert MacLaren of the University of London, who restored vision in mice using differentiated stem cells, went so far as to say, "We do not want embryonic stem cells because they are too undifferentiated."[1] So much for all the hype about the promise of ESCR. The real promise lies in ASCs, and they've proven it. The score is about 75-0.

What is diabetes?

What is diabetes? It is a chronic disease in which the body does not use properly or make insulin, a hormone that is needed to convert glucose and other foods into energy.

There are two types of diabetes. Type 1 is an autoimmune disease, which destroys the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas that regulate blood glucose. It has a sudden onset that can occur at any age but most often occurs in children and young adults. This type accounts for five to 10% of all diagnosed cases of diabetes but is the leading cause in children diagnosed with the disease.

Type 2 usually begins with the pancreas producing more insulin to compensate for an inadequate response to the insulin produced initially. But after several years of this response insulin production may decrease and diabetes develops. This type of diabetes occurred mainly in overweight 40 years or older adults. As more children and adolescents become overweight and less active we are seeing more type 2 diabetics in young people. This type of diabetes usually develops slowly. The symptoms of both Type 1 and Type 2 are very similar. They can include thirst, tired feeling, nausea and frequent urination. There may also be weight loss, blurred vision, frequent infections and slow healing of wounds or sores. Some children with Type 2 diabetes have no symptoms at all while others may have vaginal yeast infections or burning upon urination.

Currently, because 10 to 15 percent of children and teens are overweight – about double the number of two decades ago – increasing numbers of young people have type 2 diabetes. Several clinic based studies have shown the percentage of children with newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetes to have increased from less than 5% before 1994 to 30 to 50% in subsequent years. This statistic is staggering and only involves children.

Of all people 20 years and older 9.6% have diabetes. Of all adults 60 years or older 20.9% have diabetes. Diabetes was the sixth leading cause of death in 2002. Diabetes is likely to be under reported as a cause of death. Studies show that only about 35 to 40% of decedents with diabetes have diabetes listed on their death certificate.

This is a growing problem and we encourage periodic screening, especially for those with a family history, a BMI greater than 85% for age and sex; weight for height greater than 85% or weight greater than 120% ideal for height or any signs and symptoms of insulin resistance.

Faridabad- A view from Real Estate Developer's eyes

Faridabad a major industrial city and population center in Haryana state, northern India. It is located in Faridabad District. The city was founded in 1607 by Shaikh Farid, treasurer of Jahangir, with the object of protecting the highway which passed through the town. Shaikh Farid built a fort, a tank and a mosque which are in ruins. Later, it becomes the headquarters of a pargana which was held in jagir by the Ballabgarh ruler. Faridabad became 12th district of Haryana State on 15th August, 1979.

Faridabad town adjoins Delhi on its south-eastern side and has grown enormously during the last couple of decades, particularly because a large number of industries have come up in the town. The present population of Faridabad is about 1.25 million which produces a waste water flow and industrial waste flow.

Faridabad is famous for Henna Production on agriculture sector while tractors, motorcycles, switch gears, refrigerators, shoes and tires are other famous industrial products of the city. For the ease of civil administration, Faridabad District is divided into five sub divisions, Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Palwal, Hodal and Hathin. Each subdivision is headed by a sub-divisional officer. Recently Faridabad has been suffering due to the departure of many manufacturing companies. Faridabad has seen Gurgaon and Noida speed ahead in development with lot of multinational companies setting up there.

Faridabad City itself is a plain bordered by the River Yamuna to the east and Aravalli Hills towards the west and south West. Being in close proximity to the Yamuna the land east of the National Highway is better in quality than the western side. Today virtually all of the land has been filled up with residential housing as the population of the city swelled during the mid 90s. The rapid growth of the city also brought immigrants to the city from other parts of the country. People from UP, villages in and around Faridabad, Rajasthan, Bihar and some from Bengal swelled the population size. People of Faridabad are very modern owing to an industrialized economy. The touch of Delhi can be seen very easily in the lifestyle of people of Faridabad. A Recent India-Today survey showed that people here are among top ten buyers of healthcare and beauty products in India.

Haryana Government has decided to go ahead with the setting up of new Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Faridabad and Rohtak. These townships will be built on the pattern of Manesar near Gurgaon. Based on the global model for an industrial hub, these townships will integrate industrial, commercial, residential and institutional sites for operational convenience and promoting walk-to-work-culture.

Though the state government had announced the proposal during the last Assembly session, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has given the project a formal shape that will help the state showcase its industrial infrastructure, at least on paper for the moment, to foreign investors wooed by state Chief Minister Bhuinder Singh Hooda during his just-concluded foreign tour.

The industrial township at Faridabad will be developed in Sectors 66, 67, 68 and 69 of the Final Development Plan of Faridabad. Here land measuring 1832 acres has been notified for acquisition under Section 4 of Land Acquisition Act.
Faridabad as one of the most important Delhi Metropolitan area towns that needs to the planned and developed to check the inflow of migrants to the National Capital. In the Final Development Plan of Faridabad -Ballabhgarh Complex Sectors 68 and 69 have been designated as the industrial sectors and Sectors 66 and 67 had been marked for warehousing, transport and communications.

Nothing could be better than property in Faridabad. Not only one of the main and highly established cities of Haryana, Faridabad is also one of the most developed cities in the NCR of Delhi, the capital of India. If you are planning to buy property in Haryana, then nothing could be better than property in Faridabad. Faridabad in the recent past has seen a lot of growth and development in its infrastructure as well as property value. Both commercial and residential scenario in Faridabad has developed at a furious rate and is still on the rising.

Though Real Estate Developers of the country have tapped the potential of Faridabad, yet a lot of resources are still left to be utilized in the optimum way. Being adjacent to Delhi, the capital of India has a lot of benefits. At first, Faridabad is so close to the capital city such that it takes only a few minute's drive to enter the city and some more to reach to the places of importance. This adds lot of value to the properties of Faridabad. Secondly, Faridabad is much frequented by the citizens of Delhi. This means, Faridabad is regularly visited by people who have a good standard of living and are usually the trendier crowd.

This adds to the value of the city which in turn positively affects the value of property in Faridabad. Another factor which has recently contributed to the speedy growth of the city of Faridabad is the number of real estate projects coming up here. Real Estate companies like Omaxe have boosted the image of Faridabad with glamorous and high class projects both residential as well as commercial. Residential Projects like 'The Forest' by Omaxe Real Estate Developers is a prime example of posh residential development in Faridabad. The ultra modern living combined with the aesthetics of finest in luxury together make 'The Forest' a truly exquisite villa set on international standards. You can own the finest of penthouses with ultra modern features and facilities.

Along with swanky residential projects, there are a lot of Commercial projects that have got developed or are still on the progress, in Faridabad. These commercial projects are also as vast and as elegant as the residential projects. Many shopping arcades and malls are functional as of now and still more are in the pipeline. Together they make Faridabad, a city with truly international style of living and also a very propitious place for the purchase of property.

A Sunday of Neglects & Inconvinience

Yesterday, 2 things were happening simultaneously, Faridabad was experiencing a high-profile multi-event based CM's visit & CAT aspirants were appearing for CAT.

1)Faridabad student had to travel to other cities to give their Entrance Test since cities like Faridabad & Ghaziabad were not allotted an Exam Centre this time.
It implies that not just Governments but even the Management Institutions also don't consider Faridabad on their Plans & Provisions.

2)A sea of Humanity eagerly waited to greet and listen to something good that might happen for Faridabad but in vain.

Such neglects are self-understood , but my mind and soul doesn't allow us to agree & adjust to such neglects.

Role of Municipal Corporation alias "Nagar Nigam"

Faridabad has the honour of getting the first Municipal Corporation of Haryana. Before that such civil activities were managed through FCA( Faridabad Complex Administration).
If we look back and evaluate the role of the current body & its contribution, it is self-evident that it appears to a franchise of State Government in local terms.
Just pick-up the news stories about each elected Councilor alias Parshad, you would observes, that most of their energies are wasted in politicking.
Everyone amongst them shows his worry about his/her ward but no one is concerned about Faridabad as a whole.
Do they realize where their city stands w.r.t Gurgaon, which was a real Gaon(a Village) just 20 years back.
Gurgaon should be thankful to Maruti Udhyog Ltd for its current development today.
It was this Maruti car which brought Gurgaon on the global map & after that its development has been consistently sponsored by the State Governance.

It is high time that the Municipal Corporation's Councilors,Civic Officials, MLAs,MP,etc etc & everyone who represents the political fraternity related to Faridabad should understand his/her role & struggle to bring the lost glory of Faridabad back.
Exactly today while Gurgaon is gifted with initiation of 700 crores worth of development including the much-talked Metro, Faridabad has to content with some virtual focus of Health Services.
"Development is a must and has to be quick."

THE RESCUE ACT: Police say three-year-old Anant was rescued from the Noida-Bulandsahr border.
FIVE DAYS OF TORMENT
bulletMonday: Three-year-old Anant, son of Adobe India's CEO's Naresh Gupta kidnapped by two motorcycle-borne youth while waiting for school bus with maid. A special task force set up for investigation. Gupta family receives ransom calls the same night.
bullet Tuesday: Anant's father, Naresh Gupta appeals for his son's release, requests media to let the family alone.
bulletWednesday: UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav assures Anant would be found.
bulletThursday: UP Police claim vital leads, rumours of a Chambal connection gather steam.
bulletFriday: Anant rescued.

New Delhi: After five days of anxiety and apprehensions, the police on Friday rescued Adobe CEO Naresh Gupta's kidnapped son Anant Gupta. Police sources said Anant was rescued from the Noida-Bulandsahr border.

"We have rescued Anant Gupta. Our priority in the 56-hour-long operation was to mount pressure on the kidnappers and to rescue the child safely. Anant is safe, hale and hearty and has been reunited with his mother," said Senior Superintendent of Police, UP STF, S K Bhagat.

Three-year-old Anant had been kidnapped by two motor cycle-borne youths when he was on way to his school with his maid on November 13.

He was snatched away from outside his residence in the posh Sector 15-A of Noida, a satellite township of New Delhi.

"I do not have sufficient details about the operation and will be only too glad to share them as and when I get them. As far as law and order situation in UP is concerned, I don't think it's very bad. There are culprits, but they are brought to book," UP Home Secretary R N Srivastava told CNN-IBN.

Reacting to the report of his son's release, Naresh Gupta said he is very happy that his son is finally back home. "I thank every section of administration, including UP government. Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav has been personally involved in the probe. I was up all night, closely working with the police and only went to sleep this morning. It was then that Anant returned. We were in constant touch with kidnappers and exchanged five phone calls on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They had demanded a Rs 60-lakh ransom and threatened dire consequences," he said.

Police have not yet disclosed the operational details of the rescue. But Noida SSP R K Thakur has confirmed to CNN-IBN that the three-year-old has indeed been rescued and is in the safe custody of UP police.

"I have never felt so helpless in life. Support from the police and administration helped save my son. I requested low key media coverage earlier as kidnappers would have taken undue advantage of our position. I got overwhelming support from everyone at my hour of crisis. But I am not a coward and won't change my lifestyle or flee India because of certain criminals. Life goes on. I am not bitter and still have hope in the system," Anant's father, Naresh Gupta

Later on Friday, the police are likely to disclose the details of the rescue operation and also whether any ransom was paid.

All the top officials of Delhi and UP police have reached Naresh Gupta's residence.

Police say the STF and the Noida Police had come to know about the identity of the kidnappers two days ago and it was just a matter of time before Anant was rescued.

CNN-IBN

There were rumours that Anant was kidnapped by a western UP gang and he was taken to Chambal. However, these reports haven't been confirmed yet.

Reports on Thursday said a Delhi police team was in Chambal, hunting for dreaded dacoit Jagjivan Parihar's gang.

Police sources earlier said the abductors had handed over Anant to Parihar and a ransom of Rs two crore had been demanded for his release.

Parihar, the dreaded dacoit, carries a reward of Rs 5.15 lakh on his head.

The Gupta family was said to have received ransom calls on Monday morning.

Country prayed, CM stepped in

Little Anant had captured the imagination of the country with people from all walks of life praying for his safe release.

After five long, harrowing days, Anant was finally reunited with his family.

Two days back, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav had gone on record saying that the police were on the job and Anant would be rescued soon.

There was a lot of pressure on the Uttar Pradesh police with the media camping outside Anant's house.

Prashant said that there was another project to connect Faridabad with metro rail after 2010 as it came under the second phase while Gurgaon would be covered under the first phase. He said that state government was making efforts to bring Faridabad project in first phase so that it could also get the metro facilities along with Gurgaon.

City's Infrastructure-Is it there? Where?

Lets quickly see where do we stand wrt the city infrastructure

Bus Stand
You would be surprised if you happen to visit there.
Its location is most interesting. The buses can't ply thru the city properly, there is hardly any space left on the roads when these buses move.

Railway Station
Old Faridabad:It typically suits a small village or a Tehsil requirement.
New Town: We can't it a Railway station, it actually appears to be a halt, just an elevated concrete for EMU Travellers to alight & board provided they have already managed their seasonal pass.If you want to buy a ticket and then board a train then wake-up, since you can't do that.
There is hardly any staff available to handle the chaos.

Government Hospital
Its better not to go there."B.K Hospital" known after Frontier Gandhi needs some regular attention & not just occasional visits of Politician like one done very recently.

Roads
You already know this, these are not sufficient.

Transport System
What is this, its non-existent,there is no city service, just Autos, Rickshaws, nothing else.To live in Faridabad, you need to have a 2 wheeler with you,or else you can't move.

Schools & Colleges
Well things are much better wrt education.Since education has become a business, there are too- many schools & colleges in the city. Its no longer an issue, you have law,Eng,polytechnic,Graduate,PG,Management, etc almost all types of colleges.

Water & Sewerage
Its there but is insufficient currently,Lets wait and watch, something good is going to happen on this front.

Too Many Cooks Spoils the Broth

Every great city has mentor who drives the development of the region.Faridabad is unlucky here. While the state leadership takes special interest in developing Gurgaon,Faridabad has none to support it.
In contrast, it has a full truckload of Leadership but with no ownership.Nobody is clear about his or her role, they are just busy politicking.
There is an MP, MLAs,City presidents/gen secretaries,Mayor,Dty Mayor,Ward members, member of state bodies, but there is an utter chaos everywhere.
The common citizen of Faridabad lives a life of ignorance while its quality of Life continues to detoriate daily.He/she doesnot know whom to approach for any issue.
Ultimately RWAs(Resident Welfare Association) wherever existing do play some role but are again marred by Political minded people.

Faridabad is herd of politically active people but none ever bothers to take a revolutionary lead for the cause of the society.

Sector 24,Sector 25(Industrial Areas??)

Industry needs infrastructure support to survive and grow.If you happen to pass through the Road from Hardware Chowk that leads to the industrial Areas of Sector 24,you are going to experience a hell in real terms.I wrote in Hindustan Times, 12 years back that this road should be widened if not doubled, since thousands of vehicles(all types) ply on this road.Since the majority of well-planned slums(groomed-up in last 15 years) are on this part of the city, it worsens the situation further.A small bridge on an Old Drain(Nalla) gets damaged frequently due to overloads causing complete stoppage or disruption of traffic.
Since this area comes under the purview of Ballabhgarh administration, it is neglected by Faridabad administration.
Industralists Associations have been demanding infrastructural support (at least 2 roads) for a good time now but thats quite softly for well known reasons.

A huge lot of political stuff lives in this area,be it Congress/BJP leaders,Mayor,Ward members,CM has visited this area many times but none of them ha ever felt the need to develop this area.

We hope that someone awakes above his/her own interests and does something to save this part of Faridabad which includes,Sector 22,23,entry points of Sanjay Colony & Jawahar Colony,Sector 24,Sector 25,Sector 55,Village Mujesar.

Quality of Electricity supply should be consumer protected

Faridabad makes its own power at an Old Thermal Power plant. It generated its own power as early as in 1970s.But if you happen to pass thru' it you would observe that it is begging & crying for help. The quality of inputs is worse with dirty/severage water & inferior quality of coal(lower grade at 50% Kcal levels). The resultant is frequent breakdown, accidents, poor maintenance & even incidents of fire. There are multiple reasons for all this, the major one is improper management.

Second issue is of frequent breakdowns in the city. The local industry is asked to make its own captive arrangements with informed cuts & the residential areas have been systematically taught to depend on Invertors.

Third issue is the most interesting. If you reside in Faridabad & have an Invertor installed at your house, you would observe that your fan speeds-up when its on Invertor supply as compared to the normal Electric supply. It clearly calls for a check in the input quality.

The electrical appliances demand continues to grows due to shorter life cycles- owing to voltage fluctuations, low voltage, frequent disruptions, etc.

I think that Consumers need to be protected under Consumer protection act for the quality of electricity that is being supplied in Faridabad.

Quoting honourable DC that "we should think positive about Faridabad",I agree with her but there should be some reason for it.

7 year Delayed MetroRail for Faridabad- A Regional partiality

No MetroRail for Faridabad for next so many years?? Why?

Once upon a time, Faridabad was a top-bread earner for the state and NCR both.It was young and industralised.Everyone talked about it & its success. Now it was grown older and the place has been taken by Gurgaon. Now it gets most growth bytes. While Gurgaon continues to march on towards Growth to become the IT capital of both Haryana & NCR, Faridabad has bagged the status of "Slum Capital".

When planning for Metro Mail implementation phases was in progress, it naturally got the minimum priority.

If you see the daily travellers on each EMU that plies between Delhi & Faridabad, you would find their situation similar to "herds of Cattles".
I wish Honourable Mrs Maneka Gandhi, who does lot of good work against cruelity to Animals adopts our FBD's EMU Daily Travellors.

Our Respected CM should realise that growth is not achieved thru' Shopping Malls, its thru' BK Hospital,Bus Stand, Railway Station & a toll free Bata Flyover.

shop keepers of sector 7,8,10 continue to face a sealing threat

Something is terribly going wrong with shopkeepers & the locality of Srctor 7,8,10.The recent Supreme court verdict for shops of 30 FT,60Ft roads spells the trouble.

It appears that the closing such genuine shops so close to us, someone is interested to support the existence of upcoming malls at Faridabad. Thinkers want to eradicate all current commercial options, so that malls get self-groomed.

Faridabad is now sitting on real estate bomb-shell.Everyone here is busy in making quick money.
The common man's Govt is making rich richer and poor poorer.

The "aam aadmi ki sarkar" is generating unexpected wealth for rich.
